| Procedure of Use | Bhuva treat dysentry in cattle with the help of isabgul and curd. Bhuva takes 80 to 100 grams of isabgul (Plantago ovata) seeds and mixes them in one litre of curd to cure her cows when they suffer dysentery. Feeding the curd twice a day for 4 or 5 days brings relief to the cow and there are no harmful side effects. The method, used by 10 to 15 per cent of the farmers of the area, was learnt by Bhuva from her ancestors. |
