Procedure of Use Peel one healthy leaf of aloe plant to obtain the jelly-like core. Crush into a creamy paste and add 25 to 30 grams of alum (aluminium sulfate ore). Mix well and transfer to a thick cloth bag. Heat the bag over a pan. Use the bag as a poultice to give gentle fomentation around the eye. Then squeeze out a few drops of juice from the bag and instill in the affected eye. Applied once a day the treatment cures the animal of the painful condition in 3 or 4 days.
