Procedure of Use For keeping the temperature of the afflicted animals in check, farmers of Surendranagar use white silicate clay, which is found in abundance in the region, to prepare a refrigerant. Tamarind (Tamarindus indica) leaves constitute the other main ingredient of the antipyretic agent. Pound 50 grams of tamarind leaves, 25 grams of common salt and 10 grams of white silicate clay. Add 200 millilitres of water and stir well. Filter the solution. Drench the stricken animal with this filtrate once. If "valo" persists for more than two days, drench one more dose on the third day.
