Precautions
Procedure of Use Darbar has learnt an inexpensive traditional practice from his parents to save the infected calf. Mix a couple of pinches of tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) snuff in a fistful of ash obtained by burning cow dung cake. Add human urine to make this into a thick paste and dry in sun. Powder the cake obtained thus and sprinkle on the swollen umbilicus. Done thrice a day for a few days will heal the wound and the swelling subsides.
