Procedure of Use If the animal encounters this problem, female farmer Rukhiben Patel of Ahmedabad district of Gujarat soaks 1 kg turmeric (Curcuma longa) powder and a whole plant of "kukadvel" (Luffa echinata) in water. She then heats the mixture and administers the resultant decoction to the animal two times in a day. This dislodges the foreign body which is purged out with the faeces.
