PAS_1 "Kasnabhai of district Banaskantha treat cough in cattle with the help of "hargu" tree bark, "aankol" (Alangium salvifolium) bark, arugula (Eruca sativa) grass and spine gourd (Momordica dioica) root. For treatment, 100 g "hargu" tree bark, 100 g "aankol" (Alangium salvifolium) bark, 50 g arugula (Eruca sativa) grass and 50 g spine gourd (Momordica dioica) root - these four ingredients are powdered using a pounding stone or mortar. Then 500 g water is added to the powder and stirrred well to make a solution. Thereafter, the solid particles are taken out of the solution and the remaining medicine is drenched to the affected animal twice daily for three days. This will cure bloat in animal."

Procedure of Use To treat this condition, two to three bulbs of red onion (Allium cepa) are pounded well to get 200 ml of an extract. This extract is drenched to the affected animal once for two days with the help of drenching pipe. This treatment cures the cold problem in animal. It is a traditional practice learnt from forefathers and has been in use from last 8 years.
