Precautions
Procedure of Use To treat hypothermia in animals, Dudhiben Gohil uses a home-made remedy. She takes 50 grams dill seed (Anethum graveolens), 25 grams black salt and 50 grams salt. These are crushed together and mixed in water. The solution is drenched to the animal through a drench-pipe. For the young of animals, half the dose is administered. There is another practice to cure hypothermia. Some farmers place a salt-drip strip on the back of the animal. This increases bodily heat and gives relief to the animal. Many farmers in rural Bhavnagar use this traditional practice because of its simplicity.
